First Round, a prominent venture capital firm, needed an office that could seamlessly support both day-to-day work and frequent events for their portfolio companies. Flexibility was essential—the space had to transition easily between focused work modes, collaborative sessions, and larger hosted gatherings. They also wanted their distinctive art collection to be thoughtfully incorporated throughout.

Our Approach

We designed the space by establishing clear zones for working and clear zones that could be transformed depending on program needs. Custom modular tables allowed areas to shift quickly from workspace to event space, while tailored drapery introduced softness and provided adaptable division between areas. Every piece of the layout and furnishings was selected to maximize flexibility without sacrificing aesthetic.
